Fortunately for you all, I think I have found the answer to my lash conundrum, and it's in the form of an inexpensive gold tube, filled with a magically lengthening and curling potion. It's actually just Maybelline's new Colossal Big Shot Mascara, and it's pretty amazing. I use the waterproof version because after I use my eyelash curler I find waterproof formulas hold the curl longer than an ordinary mascara, plus no smudges.
For the first time in all my straight lash years, I have had people asking me what mascara I am wearing. It's super black and I can layer on as many layers as I fancy and it doesn't go spidery or clumpy. It lengthens, defines and volumises but doesn't feel heavy or weigh lashes down, and it dries quickly which is the secret to holding a curl.
Plus, it's a normal brush, non of these spiky plastic wands that poke you in the eye and leave you temporarily seeing an unknown galaxy. I am so impressed with this lash lengthening, love of my life that I have bought another tube ready for when this one runs out.
