Glossybox September Edition

It's that time again! My favourite time of the month, when the postman has to ring the doorbell because my little box of extremely well deserved treats doesn't fit through the letterbox.

I wasn't overly impressed with the contents of last month's box, so I was hoping for a better selection of products, and this month seems to be just that.

First up is a full size toothpaste, which might seem a bit bland but I love anything that promises to whiten and brighten my smile. Created by the brand Taylor 32, it's grapefruit & mint flavour, which is either going to be great or really, really peculiar. Either way, I am quite excited to try it.

This month's box also contains a Siligel Blender from STYL. Now, you'd have to have been living under a rock not to be aware of the recent silicone blender fad. I am not convinced, as if I wanted to put my make up on with a lump of silicone, I'd whip out a chicken fillet. I am thinking this could be good for applying face masks though, as it would save on messy hands and spread it evenly. Who knows, maybe I'll be converted to the gel cushion insole method of applying my foundation.

A selection of Cetaphil minis also feature in this month's box. I have heard both good and bad things about this range, so it will be interesting to see what I make of it. There's a little box containing a mini cleanser, moisturising lotion, and moisturising cream. I am a bit disappointed though, as both the cleanser and moisturising cream contain two types of parabens, which I try to avoid.

There's a full size tube of Pixi Brow Tamer gel in the box too. I love a clear brow gel! I just think brows look so much more groomed and full when they've been brushed and set. It'll be interesting to see how this compares to my favourite Benefit Ready, Set, Brow gel, as it's like glue for your brows.

Monu Skin have thrown in a mini bottle of their Firming Fiji Facial Oil too. It is recommended for dry/sensitive skin, and me being a bit oily might find this a bit too heavy. However, with autumn fast approaching, the colder weather might call for some extra skin TLC, so it may come in handy.

I feel like Glossybox sensed my disappointment with last month's box and threw in an absolute winner to make up for it. There's a full size Kinder Bueno! A tasty excuse to sabotage your post summer diet. Delicious!

Overall, I am really quite impressed with this month's box, with the exception of the two paraben filled products. I hope Glossybox keep it up, as it was definitely worth the wait. You can start your Glossybox subscription here.
